Neck Liposuction Sydney-Neck Lift- Double Chin- Body Sculpturing Australia

Sunday, September 18th, 2011

The term “double chin” is a misnomer. A double chin is essentially a neck problem, not a chin issue. It is due to excess fat in the area of the neck that is directly below the chin, hence creating the appearance of an extra chin or double chin. When this problem happens, it does so to varying degrees, with the worst cases appearing like double chins. In less severe cases, the under-side of the chin may just look plump without being a double chin. Irrespective of severity, extra neck fat is the source of the problem. As fat is the cause, liposuction is the most sought-after treatment for it. In order to understand whether neck liposuction is for you, you must first recognise a few things; including how loose is your neck skin as it plays a vital role in the treatment plan. If your skin is reasonably tight then liposuction is all you need. If your neck skin is very loose then you may require more than neck liposuction

Dr. David Amron: Neck Area Specific Liposuction

Sunday, June 12th, 2011

If there is any fullness in the neck, it is wisest to perform liposuction earlier rather than later. This is because the neck is a very gravitationally prone area. If the surgery is not performed early on, the skin may lose elasticity, leaving a lower face and neck lift as the only viable option. The majority of improvement from well done liposuction of the neck comes from the surgeon knowing how to get the maximum, even skin retraction. Although only minimal fat is generally removed, even the fattest necks, can see great improvement. I liposuction the neck in one of two ways, either through submental liposuction or by doing the entire neck. In the case of submental liposuction, it is not necessary to liposuction the whole neck (only under the chin), and only one incision is necessary. For those that have fullness of the lateral neck, it is important to liposuction the entire neck up over the jaw line, and sometimes the jowls, to achieve an optimal result. If this patient has only submental liposuction from one midline incision, the central part of the neck will retract without the lateral neck retracting. The results will either look unnatural or incomplete. For these patients, I use three incision points: one under the chin and one under each earlobe. The worst and unavoidable result of neck liposuction is having to wear a chin strap for five to seven days full time and another seven to ten days part time. For this reason, unlike other areas where my patients can

Liposuction Information – Body Contouring

Friday, December 25th, 2009

Liposuction, also known as Liposculpture, is the most commonly performed plastic surgery in the United States – where more than 400,000 men and women annually undergo this procedure. A cosmetic surgery that contours and sculpts your body into a slimmer profile, Liposuction removes unwanted and excess fat. By reducing total body fat, it can help to lower cholesterol, and reduce the risk of diabetes and heart disease.

Candidates

Three categories of men and women seek Liposuction to achieve their ideal appearance, after trying unsuccessfully to do so through diet and exercise.

The first category of patients includes those who wish to reduce their size, including women who have gained weight due to pregnancy, hormonal fluctuations or medications. This category also includes men and women who undergo Large Volume Liposuction. Normally, this procedure involves the removal of about two litres of fat, about the size of a “Coke” bottle. During Large Volume Liposuction, however, five or more litres of fat are removed – resulting in a dramatic reduction in size.

The second category includes those who have disproportionate areas of fat in their abdomen, hips, thighs, buttocks, knees, cheeks and neck. These problem areas are commonly known as “saddlebags,” “thunder thighs,” “love handles” and “double chins.” Often, these stubborn areas of fat have genetic origins, and cannot be reduced by diet and exercise.

The third category of patients includes men who suffer from Gynecomastia, excessive breast growth due to the enlargement of breast glands, and excess fatty tissue.

In all cases, men and women who undergo Liposculpture should have had a stabilized weight for at least six months. Lipoplastyis not a solution for ridding of stretch marks or of cellulite.

Techniques

There are three techniques which vary in safety and effectiveness. All involve the insertion of a cannula — a small wand-like instrument connected to a high-powered suction machine — into tiny incisions made by the plastic surgeon into the targeted area. It is through this instrument that the plastic surgeon draws fat from beneath the skin.

Tumescent Liposuction refers to the commonest, and safest, method. “Tumescence” is the swelling and firming of fatty tissues through the infusion of a saline solution that contains Lidocaine, an anesthetic with adrenaline, which reduces blood loss and bruising.

Your plastic surgeon will soak the area with a solution that is two to three times the amount of fat and fluids to be removed. In Super-Wet Tumescent Liposuction, however, tissues are infused with fluids equal to the amount of fat and fluids to be removed. Super-Wet Liposuction uses a solution that has smaller amounts of, or no, Lidocaine, reducing the risk of Lidocaine toxicity.

Once the area is sufficiently plumped up, the plastic surgeon removes the loosened fat cells, suctioning fat and fluid through transparent vacuum-like tubes.

Power Assisted Liposuction hastens the process by an electronic-powered cannula which, like a jackhammer, suctions fat more quickly. While it lessens the plastic surgeon’s exertion, it also reduces the ability to contour with precision, especially in delicate areas like the neck and the face. Likewise, Ultrasonic Assisted Liposuction, which bombards subcutaneous fatty tissues with waves of heat and energy and was developed for use in more fibrous areas, has a high rate of risks and complications such as burns, and is not a patient’s best option.

Results

For optimal results, this procedure should be performed by a plastic surgeon who has a honed aesthetic sense, as well as excellent surgical skills. The surgeon must work diligently to locate the appropriate areas of subcutaneous fat in order to successfully sculpt and contour those areas. It is therefore of the utmost importance to select a cosmetic surgeon who has the highest credentials, a fine artistic sense and who is highly experienced.

Baby Boomers Are You Wearing a Misshapen Face?

Sunday, December 13th, 2009

Weddings are a great place to people watch.  The attendees come in all sizes and shapes and that includes their faces.

There are faces that wear a double chin.  Uncle Harry, father of the groom, the owner of the double chin may or may not be morbidly obese but he is sporting at least an extra twenty pounds and that attributes to his portly appearance.

Hooded eyes on Aunt Hilda are easy to spot as eyeliner, mascara and shadow look somewhat strange on her droopy eyes; raising and wrinkling the brows are a typical movement for one whose eyesight is compromised when the eye brows and lids drop and those horizontal forehead lines have never been deeper.

Sagging cheeks drag down the skin as deep crevices are developed between the nose and mouth.  The fold is a dead giveaway that the zygomaticus muscles are in need of repositioning.

Sometimes folds are noticed in the lower mouth, too, as jowls and pouches form along the jaw line.  There is no disguising this look especially when it is coupled with a double chin.

Add wrinkles to the sags and droopiness.  Wrinkles and lines can develop across the forehead, the cheeks, the lower mouth and the neck seemingly overnight.  Oh sure, some of it is attributable sun damage early on but most wrinkles are a result of elongating muscles pooling into other muscles affecting where the end of the muscle attaches to the skin.  This downward motion, pooling, can create deep lines and wrinkles.

A misshapen face develops slowly over time.  When you’re in your 20s, 30s and 40s, your confidence level is high.  You look in the mirror with assurance that your appearance is ideal but when that 50th or 60th birthday rolls around, you realize that your youthful demeanor is fleeing.

Do words like ‘matronly’, ‘aging’, ‘dated’ and ‘old’ describe your face and your body?

Men and women have searched high and low for the illusive Fountain of Youth.

Have you looked for an anti-aging remedy?  How many have you tried?

How many cosmetic products have you purchased just hoping that this lotion or that potion would actually do something for your face?  All of us have purchased product after product to exfoliate, nourish, protect, tighten, etc, hoping to get rid of wrinkles, perk up drab facial skin and look younger.

Disappointment after disappointment prevails because lax facial muscles, the cause of looking old, cannot be lifted, toned or remedied using creams and preparations.

The best kept anti-aging secret is facial exercise.  Facial exercise acts as The Fountain of Youth.

Just as you exercise your body using easy resistance and contraction techniques at the gym, you can apply the same principles to your face.

Thumbs, fingers and white cotton gloves are the only equipment you need to strengthen and refine those soft, atrophied facial muscles hidden under the skin.

A facial exercise routine takes only minutes per day to complete.  The muscles are small and they respond quickly to the movements.  Anchoring techniques assure results and the more faithful you are to the routine, the results will last longer and longer.

From the inside out you see results from the very day you begin the program.  You will feel how your facial muscles respond to each movement and in the mirror you will see the results.  Day by day the underlying muscles strengthen and refine lifting and sculpting your face.

It is best to document your results with digital photos.  Before you begin take three close-up photos:  a front view and each side.  At the end of every third week of exercise, take another set so that over the course of nine to twelve weeks, you have several sets of photos.

Will you look like you did at 20?  Not likely but you will look younger, prettier and more handsome using the most reliable avenue – facial exercise.
